Going deeper with God and each other

Spiritual renewal is the transforming of the heart and mind with the purpose of forming a deeper relationship with Christ. Retreating into God’s creation and experiencing the adventures of outdoor activity enable Christians to see God, themselves, and their lives from a new perspective. Especially within the chaotic, urban environment, we have a need to break out of the ruts of our daily routines to experience God in a fresh way.  

Spiritual renewal retreats at City of Refuge are designed around the 3 R’s Rest, Relationship and Reconnection to God. Whether the retreat is for a day, a weekend or a week, participants are provided the opportunity to break away from the daily pressures of life to rest and be refreshed, a chance to get to know others in an atmosphere that naturally facilitates intimacy, teamwork and community, and the occasion to enter into an environment that is quiet enough to hear the still small voice of God and be filled with the beauty of His creation.
